Spray a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol—don't get it too wet—and dab away on the microphone holes to the bottom of the AirPods to loosen any gunk. Then, pry out any particles with a toothpick or a pair of tweezers. If you can only use the microphone on a single AirPod, it's possible this is down to your settings. Check the active microphone setting for your AirPods to determine if it's configured to use both mics.

I've clicked on the link you sent and checked the privacy settings for the microphone. I have " allow apps to access your microphone " turned on and " allow desktop apps to access your microphone " on too which includes MS teams. Under the sound settings I have the handsfree microphone option selected but there's no option to test my microphone see below.

I've troubleshoot but it doesn't detect a problem. I have the same issue with Airpod. My airpod pro was connected as music only and therefore cannot use as mic. I have been searching for answer on this but to no avail. I couldn't get them to work and have gave up trying. I called MS and they even connected to my pc to try to get them to work. MS say it's Apple's fault for not releasing the driver but Apple say its MS fault they're not compatible.

Just wish this was mentioned on the hundred of online reviews as I wouldn't have wasted money purchasing them. Fingers crossed it gets sorted in the future. I fought through this as well. This is needed to tell windows to add Airpods as a headset as well as stereo headphones.

For anyone else who has this adaptor and is struggling use this link and thank me later, again this exe comes with the driver AS WELL AS the management software needed to recognise Airpods properly.

  It might be that the microphone is too close to the speakers, it might be that someone is using a phone and computer or that multiple computers are too close. late but i think i have the fix: pick stereo as your speaker (not AG thats ew), and for microphone pick "same as system".
